The tenants who get their full bond back are almost always the ones who planned ahead. Leave the clean to the last night and you’ll be scrubbing an oven at midnight — and still risk a flag. Here’s a simple timeline for a stress-free Perth move-out.
3–4 weeks before
Read your lease and entry condition report so you know exactly what’s expected, including whether professional carpet cleaning is required. Book your removalist and your vacate clean now — good cleaners fill up fast around the end of the month, and booking early locks in the day that suits your handover.
1–2 weeks before
Start decluttering and packing the rooms you don’t use. The emptier the property is on cleaning day, the more thorough the clean can be — cleaners can’t clean behind furniture and boxes. Cancel or redirect mail, and arrange final utility readings.
Moving week
Get the bulk of your belongings out before the clean. A vacate clean is done on an empty (or near-empty) property so every surface, cupboard and floor can be reached. Confirm your booking and inspection times so the clean lands after you’ve moved out but before your final inspection.
Handover day
With the property professionally cleaned to the exit checklist, do a final walk-through, take date-stamped photos, and hand back the keys. If your property manager flags anything we cleaned, our bond-back guarantee means we return within 72 hours to put it right. For a full cost breakdown, see our 2026 price guide.
