How it works

How NDIS price limits work

Price limits are a ceiling, not a set fee. The NDIA publishes the maximum a provider can charge for each support in the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits. A provider can charge less, but if your plan is plan-managed, they can’t charge more.

They’re reviewed every year. The NDIA runs an Annual Pricing Review and new limits usually start on 1 July. The $60.10 rate applies from 1 July 2026. If our rate changes after a future review, we’ll tell you before it applies to your cleans.

Self-managed plans have more flexibility. If you self-manage, you aren’t bound by the price limits — but every dollar above the limit comes out of the same budget, so a lower rate stretches your funding further. Our rate is the same whether you self-manage or use a plan manager.

Budgeting

What NDIS cleaning costs over a year

Example budgets at $60.10 per hour, to help you or your planner work out how many hours your plan needs.

SchedulePer cleanPer year
2 hours, once a month$120.20$1,442.40
2 hours, every fortnight$120.20$3,125.20
3 hours, every fortnight$180.30$4,687.80
2 hours, every week$120.20$6,250.40
3 hours, every week$180.30$9,375.60

Most homes need 2–3 hours for a regular clean. A small unit may need less; a larger family home, or a home that hasn’t been cleaned for a while, may need more for the first visit. We’ll recommend the hours after you tell us about your home.

What you get

What’s included in the hourly rate

  • Your cleaner’s time in your home
  • Our cleaning products and equipment
  • Kitchen, bathroom and toilet cleaning
  • Dusting and wiping surfaces
  • Vacuuming and mopping floors
  • Tidying and resetting rooms
  • Wiping high-touch surfaces
  • A clear invoice after every clean

Every invoice shows the support item number, date, hours and rate, so it can be claimed without any back-and-forth. See how NDIS cleaning payment works.

Choosing a cleaner

Why some NDIS cleaners charge different rates

You’ll see different prices from different providers. The main reasons are minimum bookings (some require 2–3 hours per visit), extra charges for evenings or weekends, and separate fees for products. When comparing quotes, ask for the total cost per clean, not just the hourly rate.

With Cleaner In Perth it’s simple: $60.10 an hour, products included, no minimum booking.
