How NDIS Cleaning Payment Works

Quick answerAfter each clean we send an invoice. If you’re plan-managed, it goes to your plan manager, who pays us from your plan. If you’re self-managed, you pay the invoice and claim it back through the myNDIS portal or app. Our rate is $60.10 an hour either way.

If your plan is plan-managed

  1. Tell us your plan managerWhen you book, give us your plan manager’s name and invoice email, plus your NDIS number.
  2. We cleanYour cleaner completes the agreed tasks and hours.
  3. We invoice your plan managerThe invoice goes straight to them with the support item number, date, hours and rate.
  4. They pay usYour plan manager pays from your Core budget. Some will check with you first — just approve it.
Self-managed

If you self-manage your plan

  1. We cleanYour cleaner completes the agreed tasks and hours.
  2. We send you the invoiceIt includes everything you need to make a claim.
  3. You pay the invoicePay it by the due date shown.
  4. Claim it backLodge a payment request in the myNDIS portal or app using support item 01_020_0120_1_1. Keep the invoice for your records.

Prefer not to pay up front? You can ask the NDIA to change your plan to plan-managed, which puts a plan manager in charge of paying invoices at no cost to your plan budget.

    How do I pay for NDIS cleaning?
    If you’re plan-managed, we invoice your plan manager and they pay us from your plan. If you self-manage, you pay our invoice and claim it back through the myNDIS portal or app.
    Do I have to pay up front?
    Not if you’re plan-managed — your plan manager pays us directly. Self-managed participants pay the invoice and claim the cost back.
    What details do you need to invoice my plan manager?
    Your full name, NDIS number, and your plan manager’s name and invoice email address.
    What support item do you put on the invoice?
    Support item 01_020_0120_1_1, House Cleaning and Other Household Activities, under Core Supports – Assistance with Daily Life.
    Does a plan manager cost me anything?
    Plan management is funded separately in your NDIS plan, so it doesn’t come out of your cleaning budget.
    When do you send the invoice?
    After each clean, so every claim matches the date and hours of the service.
